Are you ready to discover the jungle? Our Kuala Lumpur Tour Guides offer nature outings to a jungle waterfall, forest trail, canopy walk, firefly haven, elephant sanctuary or wetland wilderness.

With so many requests to Nature Escapes from residents and visitors coming to Malaysia to recommend good places for a rainforest trek or a chance to view wildlife, we decided to arrange a selection of nature tours.

Now anyone coming to Kuala Lumpur on a holiday or for business can plan for a day out of the city and into the natural wilderness of a tropical rainforest.

All nature tours are organized by certified Green Badge Guides, approved by the Ministry of Tourism to provide tour guide services for outdoor activities. For now, all nature tours start out of Kuala Lumpur and tour guides can arrange for transportation if needed.

Get out into the rainforest to explore rivers, waterfalls and wildlife on easy to moderate jungle trails. Each of these outdoor adventures caters to introducing visitors to the natural world of tropical forests, mangroves and much more.

• FRIM Rainforest-Canopy Walk (1/2 Day, 1 Day) - Explore nature trails along forest streams and hillsides for a good introduction to rainforest habitats. A Canopy Walkway provides a pleasurable stroll in the treetops. Built 30 metres (100 feet) high on a forest slope and secured to giant tropical trees, it offers unique panoramic views for every visitor. [Read more on FRIM]


• Chilling River-Hot Springs (1 Day) - (details pending)


• KSNP Mangroves-Birdwatching (1 Day) - Full of easy to see wildlife, mangroves and mudflats are home to nearly 150 bird species, big-clawed fiddler crabs and quirky mudskippers. Observation towers provide great viewing and boardwalks and trails cut through mangrove and secondary forests for sights of silver-leafed monkeys. [Read more on KSNP]


• Perting Forest-Elephant Sanctuary (1 Day) - (details pending) [Read more on Elephant Sanctuary]

For those seeking more time in the great outdoors, there are two options that will satisfy both wildlife observers and those wanting a real sense of the jungle.

• KSNP-Firefly Tour (2 Days, 1 Night) - Spend two days exploring wetland swamps and mangroves for good birdwatching outings and watch thousands of tiny bug lights flashing in sync on riverbank trees as the fireflies of nearby Kampung Kuantan display nightly. [Read more on Fireflies]


• Endau Rompin Romp (3 Days, 2 Nights) - A lowland rainforest wilderness that teems with wild animals like elephants, wild boar and elusive rhinos and tigers, this national park offers great jungle trekking, rivers and waterfalls, and exploration of unique flora and fauna.

For school holiday periods, Nature Escapes is planning to offer special outdoor programs for kids and other groups to join in outdoor adventure education activities.

We are looking into the following locations for hosting medium to large groups of students, with a possible option to make special arrangements for corporate, civic and other groups interested in outdoor camps.

All Kuala Lumpur Tour Guides have completed training programs approved by the Ministry of Tourism. Nature Escapes will only recommend the services of official Green Badge Guides to ensure that each particpant enjoys a quality nature outing.

Each nature guide is familiar with general rainforest ecology, birds, mammals, reptiles and insects to make every jungle trip an educational and enjoyable experience.

Bring your own camera, video or binoculars to enhance on-site observation and to bring more memories back home.

Nature Tour Request Form

All nature tours are organized by the Nature Guide Tours coordinator, not Nature Escapes. All transportation and trip arrangements, including payment based on number of individuals, and details related to nature tour destinations are dealt with by the coordinator.

Request Procedure

• Fill in information and select one of the listed nature tours.
• Await email response from Nature Guide Tours coordinator.
• Make arrangements and payment according to agreed upon dates and conditions.
