Nature Escapes

One-Hour Escapes From the Kuala Lumpur for Nature Romps Just Outside The City

Do you long to escape from the asphalt jungle of the city?

Within just one hour from Kuala Lumpur map out places to go for hiking trails, mountain bike action, jungle walks or a tropical waterfall.

So don't despair because nature is really never too far away. In truth your backyard is full of outdoor things to do.

The One-Hour Escapes are perfect for weekend and family travel outings. Whether you take the kids or go alone, you can enjoy nature landscapes all morning and still be free the rest of the day. And it's a good way to encourage family travel ideas and kid fitness.

An early start is better to catch a glimpse of birds and mammals and to avoid the harsh midday sun or frequent afternoon rain storms.

Take advantage of the numerous trails and hikes scattered in and out of KL. Most of these One-Hour escapes are easy day trips and outings and not too difficult for beginners. It's a chance to breathe fresh air, hear wild sounds, reduce your stress levels and even burn off some calories.

Of course there are other more strenuous outdoor nature activities. Find the best mountain biking trails or adventure hikes. For those who like to go vertical, choose to learn some rock climbing techniques at Batu Caves. Or go underground and sense the eerie quietness of caving.
